SAFETY DURING YOUR STAY IN OUR HOTEL

To offer you a stay with maximum safety and peace of mind, despite the strong lack of available information, we implement all possible safeguards for both our guests and our collaborators.

We monitor daily updates from the World Health Organization (WHO) and the Italian Higher Institute of Health (ISS), in order to adopt the recommended safety protocols in our hotels.

The accommodation facility is organized with an ANTI COVID TASK-FORCE, which will monitor compliance with internal rules and procedures for both employees and guests.

 

CORRECTIVE ACTIONS to be taken for SYMPTOMATIC CASES

At the reception desk are always available at least 5 ANTI COVID - 19 protective kits.

Such kit must include:

  • FFP2 mask
  • Facial protection
  • Gloves
  • Protective apron
  • Disposable full length long sleeve jumpsuit
  • disposable shoe covers
  • Disinfectant
  • Germicidal wipes
  • Disposable bag for bio hazardous waste.

 

SUSPECTED CASE OF COVID AMONG GUESTS

In the event that an alleged case of COVID is detected among the guests, we will immediately proceed to:

  • inform the local health authority;
  • have the guest wear: mask, goggles, disposable overalls and gloves
  • see the guest to their room in order to avoid any contact with others;
  • seal the room and let it air naturally;
  • disconnect the air conditioning, if possible
  • provide the guest with waterproof bags where they can remove any handkerchiefs or other used personal hygiene belongings

Staff members who have come into contact with the guest must:

  • wash their hands and face with a hydro alcoholic solution;
  • pay attention to all their body parts which potentially have come into contact with the guest or with their fluids

Employees who assist the guest with suspected symptoms of COVID must:

  • wear the above-listed individual protection gear;
  • wash off with a hydro-alcoholic solution, immediately after having contact with the guest, avoiding contact with other people before such cleansing

Common areas must be sanitized in a timely manner.


SUSPECTED CASE OF COVID AMONG EMPLOYEES

In the event that an employee informs the facility that they have symptoms of Covid, the Management must:

  • immediately require the employee to stay at home;
  • proceed with a reinforced sanitization of the areas frequented by the staff.

In both cases, surface sanitation activities must be implemented through the use of water with 0.1% chlorine solutions or of water with 70% alcohol. All textiles must be washed separately from other linen at a temperature of 90°, with detergent.

The sanitation operations will be carried out by personnel equipped with complete protective devices and, subsequently, all cleaning equipment and garbage must be placed in separate bags and destined for the disposal of special waste.

 

FRONT DESK

In order to comply with social distancing and to avoid gatherings, the following actions will be adopted:

  • On days with a high number of arrivals and departures, the check-in desks will be separated from those intended for check-out
  • Guests will be asked to send a copy of their scanned ID document to speed up the check in and registration procedure
  • Guests will be asked to send the room registration sheet already filled out
  • The entry and exit routes from the reception hall will be clearly defined and outlined
  • At the entrance of each reception hall there will be:
    • A sign that clearly explains the basic hygiene procedures
    • Disposable glove dispenser
    • Disinfectant dispenser with photocell
  • All guests will walk through a thermo scanner to check the body temperature of each person entering the facility
  • The minimum distance to be kept in case of queues will be marked on the floor of each reception area
  • Each desk will be equipped with transparent Plexiglas which to ensure a clear separation between the customer and the receptionist
  • Each desk will be sanitized by the reception staff at the end of the check-in operations.
  • Guests will not be able to access the check-in if they are not wearing disposable gloves made available by the Hotel and free of charge for the check-in phase only
  • Receptionists will all be equipped with latex gloves designed to avoid contact with guests and with a mask to avoid contact with their colleagues

Furthermore, to avoid gatherings, when a certain number of people in line to check in is reached, other customers waiting will be hosted in the lounge with access to an app that will notify them when it is their turn.

  • The room keys will be sanitized, together with the key ring, every time the guest delivers them to the reception and they will be re-sanitized before being delivered
  • The baggage handling staff will be equipped with gloves and a mask
  • In all common areas there will be bins with pedal lids to allow the disposal of PPE without touching with any surface.
  • Inside these bins there will be plastic bags that are easily removable and sealable without touching its content
  • One person at a time must access the lift, or at most only the same family unit.
  • The push button panel of the lift itself must be periodically sanitized
  • Car parking must be carried out by the owner of the car itself. In the event that this is not possible, the parking attendant must wear gloves, a mask and ventilate the car thoroughly
  • Every single piece of equipment that is given to the guest must be previously sanitized and sanitized again when the guest returns it
  • THE ANTI COVID TASK FORCE will monitor compliance with the rules



CLEANING-HOUSEKEEPING

COMMON AREAS

  • Disinfectant gel dispensers with photocell will be available in all common areas
  • All common areas will be properly cleaned with sanitizing products
  • The common bathrooms will all be equipped with bactericidal soap and disposable or electric towels
  • Bathrooms will be cleansed and sanitized every two hours.
  • THE ANTI COVID TASK FORCE will monitor compliance with the rules

 

COMMON BATHROOMS

  • Access to the bathrooms will be limited and adapted to the new regulations
  • At the entrance will be available:
    • Stand with gloves and disinfectant gel with photocell
  • Inside the bathroom:
    • sink with hot and cold water
    • Soap dispenser
    • Disposable cover dispenser for wc board
    • PPE collection baskets
    • Information sign with detailed explanation of cleaning procedures

 

HOUSEKEEPING

The housekeeping staff will be equipped with the PPE required by current regulations:

  • Mask
  • Gloves
  • cap
  • Room cleaning will have two different procedures depending on the room status:
    • AFTER CHECK OUT: the cleaning procedure will be as per standard company protocol
    • BEFORE CHECK IN: the room will be sanitized with suitable and certified products.
  • In both cases, cleaning will cover all surfaces which came into contact with guests
  • Guests' personal PPE will be collected in a separate bag
  • In case of linen change, dirty linen will be kept separate from clean linen and will not be used as support for cleaning activities
  • All surfaces will be cleaned with specific products and with disposable equipment or treated with 2% sodium hypochlorite
  • the minibar and its content will also be sanitized
  • All amenities, where present, will be cleaned periodically and, in the case of a check out, sanitized
  • The coffee tray or other products intended to be touched by guests, where present, will also be sanitized
  • As far as possible, it will be avoided to equip the rooms with decorative elements such as:
    • Carpets
    • Runner
    • Decorative pillows
    • Etc.
  • Bedspreads and blankets will be replaced at every check out.

 

RECEPTION AND LOBBY

All reception and lobby areas will be aerated, cleaned and sanitized periodically (at least every two hours). The surfaces most in contact with hands will be continuously sanitized.

 

AIR CONDITIONING SYSTEM

When the system is off, cleaning and sanitation will be carried out following the standard HACCP procedures.

However, the ventilation grids will be periodically sanitized with clean cloths and with detergents with a concentration of 75% ethyl alcohol.

 

MAINTENANCE

The maintainers must follow the rules for ANTI COVID prevention to the letter.

Specifically, before entering a guest room they must:

  • wear disposable masks
  • Wear disposable gloves

At the end of their activities they will have to

  • Remove the disposable gloves and throw them in the appropriate recycling bin
  • Contact the housekeeper for cleaning the area

When the maintenance technician leaves the room, the area must be sanitized by the housekeeper with sanitizing products and using ANTI COVID PPE

 

 

RESTAURANT

 

FOOD PREPARATION

All staff will be extensively trained on:

  • COVID-19
  • ANTI COVID operating procedures

In addition to the standard PPE, the following ANTI COVID devices will also be delivered:

  • Surgical mask
  • Splash mask
  • Latex gloves
  • Apron
  • Hair cap

The entrances to the kitchens and to other food preparation areas will be clearly separated from the exits.

All surfaces will be continuously sanitized .

In the kitchen, at each preparation counter there will be:

  • A sink with hot and cold water taps
  • A photocell dispenser of sanitizing soap

At the workstations, the employees must never face each other and will be equipped with a surgical mask and a splash mask, both strictly personal, and in quantities that allow replacement according to the regulations in force.

Pedal baskets will be placed inside the kitchen for the sole disposal of PPE.



BUFFET SERVICE

If in the PRE COVID phase the Hotel offered buffet or mixed catering service, this will be converted from a self-service buffet into a served buffet service.

In order to ensure the required social distancing, meals will be served in the restaurant on a double shift. Furthermore, the restaurant opening hours will be extended to 30 minutes more for breakfast, lunch and dinner.

A part of the staff will have the sole task of enforcing the provisions in terms of ANTI COVID prevention and safety.

Ways in and out from the restaurant will be marked by horizontal and vertical signs.

At the entrance to the restaurant, stands will be set up with:

  • Sanitizing gel
  • Disposable gloves

Guests will not be able to access the restaurant without:

  • Mask
  • Gloves

Each guest entering the restaurant will be measured their body temperature through a scanner thermometer.

Buffets will be set up along the walls of the restaurant with transparent plexiglass. The staff will be positioned behind the buffets, wearing:

  • Gloves
  • Mask
  • Hair cap

Along the floor, access and exit routes to the restaurant and access to the buffet will be identified.

Strips will be placed along the floor of the buffet to ensure compliance with safety distances.

The customer identifies the chosen courses

The waiter provides:

  • Dish (previously washed in the dishwasher at a temperature above 70 ^)
  • Cutlery
  • the chosen meal

The tables will be distributed throughout the room at the enforced distance.

The tablecloth will be replaced at each guest change and dirty linen will be kept separate from clean linen

All staff in the hall will be equipped with:

  • Gloves
  • Mask
  • Hair cap

The dishes used by customers will be collected and taken to the kitchen where they will be washed in the dishwasher at a temperature above 70 ^.

Between one shift and the next, all areas of the restaurant, including tables and chairs, will be carefully sanitized.

The ANTI COVID TASK FORCE will monitor compliance with the rules



MIXED SERVICE

The Hotels that used to serve a mixed catering service before COVID, will convert from a self-service buffet service to a served buffet.

Waiters will serve guests wearing the required PPE. The menus will be sanitized before being handed over to customers.

The tables will be distributed throughout the room to comply with social distancing.

The tablecloth will be replaced at each guest change and dirty linen will be kept separate from clean linen.

The dishes will be first cleansed in the dishwasher at a temperature above 70 ^ and delivered to the waiter by the cooks equipped with a mask, gown, hair cap, gloves and splash mask.

All staff in the hall will be equipped with:

  • Gloves
  • Mask
  • hair cap

The dishes used by guests will be collected and taken to the kitchen where they will be washed in the dishwasher at a temperature above 70 ^

Between one shift and the next, all areas of the restaurant, including tables and chairs, will be carefully sanitized.

ROOM SERVICE

Room service will be carried out through hermetically sealed single-use containers. Meals will be prepared in the kitchen by staff and transferred by trolleys to the guests’ rooms.

The trolley will be brought by the waiter, equipped with his personal protective equipment, in front of the entrance door of the room.

Subsequently, the waiter will bring the (previously sanitized) tray into the room and will leave the dishes on the surface intended for service, duly covered with disposable tablecloths. Subsequently, the dishes will be thrown into special baskets.

Trays will be collected by the house keepers and taken to the kitchen, to be sanitized with the same sanitizing procedure as plates and glasses.

The waiter having carried out the room service, will replace the personal protective equipment.

 

TAKE AWAY SERVICE

The take-away service will be carried out through hermetically sealed containers that are legally suitable for Take away.

Meals will be delivered by the room staff, equipped with personal protective equipment, directly to the guest.

 

BAR

At the entrance to the Bar will be made available:

  • Stand with sanitizer
  • Disposable gloves

Guests will not be able to access the restaurant without:

  • Mask
  • Gloves

The bar counter will be equipped with plexiglass and the staff will wear:

  • Gloves
  • Mask
  • The entrance to the enclosed section of the bar will be limited and strips will be placed on the ground to distance people
  • The orders will be fulfilled either through the use of disposable tableware or through constantly sanitized dishes
  • The equipment used by the bar staff will be continuously sterilized
  • Outdoors, tables will be positioned at the enforced distances
  • Access to the restaurant terrace will be limited to seats only
  • THE ANTI COVID TASK FORCE will monitor compliance with the rules

 

MINICLUB

The activities of the MINI CLUB will be guaranteed by dividing the children into groups. Each group will comprise no more than 6 children and all activities will be carried out in dedicated areas, to keep social distancing enforced.



SPA AND WELLNESS CENTERS

STAFF

  • All spa staff will be extensively trained on ANTI COVID regulatory provisions and procedures
  • The work shifts will be organized in a congruous way considering the demand, dividing into groups and avoiding gatherings
  • All SPA employees will be equipped with anti Covid devices such as:
    • Mask
    • Gloves
    • Shirts
    • Splash mask

 

SPA ENTRANCE - RECEPTION

  • At the entrance to the SPA will be placed:
    • Gloves
    • Sanitizing gel
  • No guests will be able to enter the SPA without wearing gloves and a mask
  • The body temperature of each guest will be measured through a scanner thermometer
  • The SPA reception will be equipped with transparent Plexiglass panels
  • The reception desk will be constantly sanitized
  • All areas of the spa will be continuously sanitized
  • Contact less payments will be preferred and the use of cash will be avoided as much as possible with due communication to all guests before arrival.

CHANGING ROOMS AND LOCKERS

  • Entry to the changing room will be allowed only to people who are not guests of the facility
  • Only one person at a time will be allowed to enter the changing rooms
  • At the entrance to the changing room there will be:
    • Dispenser with photocell of sanitizing gel
    • Disposable gloves
  • The strippers and lockers will be constantly sanitized
  • Where possible, the entrance areas will be separated from the exit ways of the changing room

 

WET ZONE

  • At the entrance to the wet zone, the following will be positioned:
    • Gloves
    • Sanitizing gel
  • Access to the wet area will be limited in compliance with the rules of distancing and the rooms will be constantly sanitized
  • The wet zone environments will be constantly sanitized
  • The waters of any swimming pool or whirlpools will be treated with a 0.2% chlorine solution and the presence of chlorine will be constantly monitored by an electronic injection control unit

TREATMENT ROOM

  • At the entrance to each treatment room there will be:
    • Gloves
    • Sanitizing gel
  • A sink will be placed inside the treatment room with:
    • Hot and cold water
    • Sanitizing gel
  • Each operator must:
    • Put on the surgical mask
    • Put on the splash mask
    • Put on the gown before each treatment
    • Wash hands thoroughly before and after treatment
  • All the linen intended for the treatments will be kept in separate bags and washed at a temperature above 70 °
  • At the end of each single treatment the cabin will be carefully sanitized
  • TASK FORCE PRO COVID will monitor compliance with the rules

 

GYM

  • At the entrance to the gym there will be:
    • Gloves
    • Sanitizing gel
  • Access to the room will be limited in compliance with the social distancing rules and the rooms will be constantly sanitized and made available by appointment only to hotel guests.
  • The rooms of the gym will be constantly sanitized

 

CLOSETS AND STORAGE AREAS

  • At the entrance to the storage areas, the following will be positioned:
    • GlovesSanitizing gel
  • Access to the restricted area will be allowed in compliance with the social distancing prescriptions and the areas will be constantly sanitized and made available to only one employee at a time.

All work tools will be sterilized through cold sterilization using a broad spectrum, safe and non-toxic antimicrobial medical device.
